Welcome to Gouldy08

On the outskirts of Frome at Critchill Manor Estate is Gouldy08, a family friendly café with an outdoor children’s play area and bar. It is in a peaceful location over looking fields and a lake in the distance with wild swans and Canadian geese.

We have a big free car park. There is a public footpath along side us witch can take you into the direction of Nunney or the other direction into Frome. You have the option to eat in or takeaway.

We use locally sourced food where possible and a menu for everyone to enjoy, a Gouldy08 breakfast or a burger or hotdog with chips. We cater for food intolerance please ask a member of staff.

We are a venue with a license for a marquee adjoining Gouldy08 for weddings or events or hire out Gouldy08 for a small party.

We have sky sports so keep an eye out for sporting events we will be showing. The café is also situated on the edge of Frome Town United (youth) home ground.

Gouldy08 is a place you can catch up with friends over a hot drink and cake or enjoy lunch with your children followed by them enjoying the outside fenced play area or pop in for a brevrage to take with you on your walk or enjoy a Gouldy08 breakfast after your bike ride.

Gouldy08 is named after our 19 year old son Lewis who was killed in July 2021. We have a letterbox to heaven inside our café for anyone to use.
Whether you would like to write a letter to your loved one for a special occasion or for no specific reason to do so, this is a designated place for you. You can bring your own letter to post or use our letter paper and envelopes provided. The letterbox is managed by Gouldy08 and not by the Royal Mail so no postal stamp is required.
